MIZUNARA RESERVE

CRAFTED FOR THOSE WHO APPRECIATE PATIENCE, RARITY, AND THE ENDURING PURSUIT  OF EXCEPTIONAL AMERICAN SPIRITS.

Starlight 10-Year Mizunara Reserve Bourbon represents the pinnacle of patience, craftsmanship, and innovation within the Starlight portfolio. Created from a meticulously selected blend of estate-distilled bourbons aged for a full decade on the Huber family farm, this inaugural release showcases some of the oldest whiskey ever bottled under the Starlight name. Following ten years of maturation in new charred American oak, select barrels were transferred into rare Japanese Mizunara oak casks, where they developed an extraordinary layer of complexity and elegance. The influence of Mizunara reveals captivating notes of sandalwood, toasted coconut, delicate vanilla, and subtle baking spice, seamlessly woven into the rich foundation of our mature bourbon.

Limited to just 250 individual bottles, Batch 1 of Starlight 10-Year Mizunara Reserve Bourbon marks the inaugural release of this new ultra-premium collection—an extraordinary expression that honors ten years of patient maturation, generations of craftsmanship, and the timeless artistry of one of the world’s most coveted oak species.

The Mizunara Oak Influence
Native to Japan, Mizunara oak is among the rarest and most challenging woods used in whiskey maturation. The trees must grow for decades before they are suitable for coopering, and the porous nature of the wood makes barrel construction extremely difficult. Despite these challenges, Mizunara barrels are highly prized for the remarkable flavors they impart. When used to finish bourbon, Mizunara introduces elegant aromas of sandalwood, incense-like spice, toasted coconut, and delicate vanilla. The finishing process allows these distinctive notes to weave seamlessly into the structure of mature Starlight bourbon, creating a whiskey with exceptional aromatic complexity and depth.
